Trend micro is not updating
This type of "fine print" authorization should be against the law and Trend should be ashamed of scamming people that have not even updated their software in years.
They lost a customer for life and I will trash them every chance I get unless they refund our money.

So i've just built a new computer and have installed kaspersky internet security, but when i try to do a database update it goes to 2% complete and doesn't go any further. Kaspersky is nowadays the best internet security software on the market. Even then, reality is Norton is just as good if not any superior to Kaspersky and quite honestly I would blindly trust Norton Security, Mc Afee, Trend Micro, F-Secure kind of more established organisation over some 3rd party so called internet security suit bullshit like Kaspersky, Avast, Eset or Bit Defender garbage etc.
An unsecured network and device may bear serious damage and lose if you haven’t installed the right security in first place to stop the attack of virus, malware, Trojan horse, and such other or different kinds of infections.
A PC user cannot do much about the presented online technical threats and infections, but one thing that is a must in order to get security is install a potential security application on customer support device and network.
I didn't find any option for selecting the update's source for the manual update under the toolbar. I am sorry that I do not remember the details, but I do remember that it was very easy.
I've tried looking for an answer, but i can't find one, so hopefully someone here knows what is happening? and yes, you shouldn't use two internet security software at the same time. I wouldn't advice you to use Norton or any free internet security software. And just for the record I have used both Norton and Kaspersky and this whole high resource utilization thing about Norton is an utter nonsense since I have hardly noticed any difference with the performance from start up to the running of multiple process smoothly.
The first time a tried to do it, it came up with a message saying that there was a bad image in the win32or something. They told me to write in update source page in menu. As a matter of fact as time passed after the installation of Kaspersky, it started to take a toll on my ram usage but Norton remained constant with it's good performance so eat your own words and do some research on your own before you jump on the band wagon of these marketing gimmicks fanboy. I think I may try Trend Micro or some other software once my licence expires in 382 days.
When adding additional licenses on Trend Micro they will charge the full term cost, but short term end your new added licenses to the expiration date of your previous licenses.
They only show the short term end date of the added licenses after payment and check out.
